Yes, I am still alive..... [grin]
This week has been very busy, but fun!
Here in Watertown, we have a Farm Show every year. It's a big highlight for many people. Most buisness's from watetown, and else where have a boothe there, so it's a pretty large shee-bang!
There is also many 4H exibits and such. Well this year i decided to enter in a few pictures of mine. I've never done anything like this before, and I wanted to give it a little try.
I'm excited to say all my pictures were excepted and "ribboned"! [smile]
I entered in 7 8x10's and 10 4x6's. I got quite a few 2nd place and also 1st, with a few 3rd.
Someone mentioned to me that I should post the pictures I entered in, on my blog here. So if I get some extra time, I may try to do that for ya'all.
Anyway, that was a fun experience for me. Actually today, I receive my awards, there at the show. [grin]
My cousin Matthew turned 11 yrs. old on the 11th. So we had a birthday party for him. To say in a nut shell, (yes, i can actually give nut shell stories) when Matthew's party was over, we had a full fledged COWBOY on our hands! He got cowboy boots a cowboy hat, a belt etc....
Maybe one of these days I'll get the proud cowboys picture on here. [smile]
He sure has grown up alot! I remember telling him a while back, that ever since I moved here to South Dakota, he has become more and more like my little brother than a cousin.
Last week, I was challenged with some verses.
2Corinthians 4:8-18
" We are troubled on every side, yet are not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. For we which live are always delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might me made manifest in our mortal flesh. So death worketh in us, but life in you. We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For which cause, we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. "
